Black Lamp Shade

Another thing to consider is the fitter.  The fitter is the part that attaches the lamp shade to the lamp.  The spider/harp fitter sits on top of the harp and is secured with a finial.  The spider/reflector sits on the reflector bowl.  The slip Uno fitter sits below the bulb, on the socket, and is secured by the bulb.  The threaded Uno fitter sits above the bulb and is secured by the threading.  There are lots of lamp shades featuring the clip on fitter.  This fitter clips onto the light bulb.  There are different sized clip on fitters to accommodate different shades and bulbs.
